Happy Mother’s Day – a poem from my daughter

This is me, as seen through my seven year old daughter’s eyes:

My Mum
She’s a:
Vacuum cleaner
Potato peeler
A dish cleaner
A bedtime reader
A hard worker cleaner
A hugler
A cuddler
A school taker
A cool maker
My Super Mum

Apparently I do a lot of cleaning. Don’t know where she gets that idea from!

Hope all mums, wherever you are, have a lovely Mother’s Day and receive equally lovely, thoughtful gifts from your children.

  1. This is wonderful! Love it. Also now curious why British Mother’s Day is before North American Mother’s Day ….

That aside – you are a lucky mom to have such a creative daughter. I could deal with being a cool maker. Maybe not a vacuum cleaner and potato peeler… But all jobs come with pros and cons and “other duties as required” and such….
